VCM Daily Trading Lessons
The Five ‘Weapons’ We Use Throughout the Trading Day, Part 11 of 12
Today's Quote: “Do what you can — with what you have — where you are." Theodore Roosevelt.
As we introduced the other day, a good scanner should be a part of every trader's arsenal of weapons. Here at Velez capital management (VCM) we are doing everything possible to make sure traders succeed. There's a high failure rate for new traders in the industry and every one of the reasons for failure have been addressed in a big way at VCM. Through the use of highly leveraged money, the lowest commissions in the United States and a forced discipline system as part of our 12-step trader advancement program we are breeding successful traders. And to help these traders find the plays throughout the trading day, we have the VCM Scanner Pro™.
This scanner is versatile, intuitive to use, extremely powerful, and best of all it incorporates all of the key VCM strategies that are taught in our seminars. This means that in addition to finding simple requests such as the morning gap list, you may also find stocks where the price has just crossed the VWAP war is the greatest extended foam a Bollinger Band. And you can find stocks that are completing a VCM buy set (VBS) up on the five minute chart, or a break out play (BOP) on the 15 minute chart (even if you don't know what these terms mean).
You may ask VCM Scanner Pro™ to scan every stock that exists, or you can restrict that list of stocks based on price and volume criteria. You may also simply ask VCM Scanner Pro™ to use your own lists to scan, and different watch lists may be inputted for different scanning strategies. There are over 150 special alerts, and over 100 window specific filters. You may also pick the exchanges you want to scan for each strategy. In other words you may restrict the gap list only NASDAQ stocks, or whatever universe you prefer. You can create multiple layouts so that you have a different set of scans to guide you through each part of the trading day.
